EHS Engineer - Environment, Health & Safety

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies and procedures across the plant.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive EHS management system that meets industry standards.
• Provide training on safety protocals to employees at all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Implement HSE policies, drive zero accidents, publish incident reports, prepare safety alerts, identify hazards, perform Risk assessments, mitigate risks, implement safety measures etc.
• Perform Safety audits and safety training on regular intervals.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, factories act, Pollution control board norms, fire NOC and other statutory regulations.
• Conduct periodic health check ups for employees and contract workers.
• Monitor exposure to chemicals, noise, dust and ensure adequate controls and PPE availability.
• Drive emergency preparedness activities including fire drills and fire mocks.
• Develop and maintain SOP's, MSDS, risk registers, emergency response plans and training records.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or post-graduate diploma in Industrial safety or equivalent experience degree with 5-6 years of relevant experience in Industrial Safety or related fields.
• Has knowledge in Plant/shop floor safety related necessary PPE's, Unsafe Act, Unsafe Condition, Safety alerts, Signages etc..
• Experienced in facing the ISO safety audits and related document creation.
• Safety related certification candidates are preferred.
