Job Title: Phytochemist / Phytochemistry Scientist

Department: R&D / Quality Control

Location: Lakkenahalli Village, Solur Hobli, Magadi Talik, Ramangar dist - 562127.

Reports to: Head – R&D / QC

Job Summary:

The Phytochemist is responsible for the analysis, isolation, characterization, and standardization of phytochemicals from medicinal plants and herbal raw materials. The role supports research, product development, and quality assurance activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct phytochemical screening, extraction, fractionation, and isolation of bioactive compounds
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of herbal extracts and raw materials
• Operate and interpret results from analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, TLC, UV–Visible spectrophotometer, FTIR, and LC-MS (if applicable)
• Develop and validate analytical methods for herbal products
• Support standardization of herbal extracts and finished products
• Prepare and review technical reports, COAs, SOPs, and dossiers
• Conduct literature surveys and maintain scientific documentation
• Ensure adherence to GLP, GMP, and SOPs
• Coordinate with R&D, QC, and regulatory teams

Qualifications & Experience:

• M.Sc / Ph.D in Phytochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Natural Products, or related field
• 1–5 years of experience in herbal / pharmaceutical / nutraceutical industry (freshers may be considered for junior roles)

• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for herbal products
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
