Job Title: Fruits Ripening In charge (Quality Executive)

Role Summary:

The Fruits Ripening In charge will oversee ripening operations at the Distribution Centre, ensuring

proper handling, quality control, and stock management of fruits such as banana, mango, and

avocado. The role involves monitoring ripening processes, minimizing losses, managing the team,

and coordinating with internal stakeholders to maintain supply chain quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor daily fruit receiving and ensure accurate quantity and quality checks.

 Conduct daily stock checks and ensure strict FIFO (First In, First Out) implementation.

 Identify and escalate discrepancies in quantity and quality to relevant stakeholders.

 Supervise ripening operations including precooling, gassing, and ventilation until fruits reach

the desired ripening stage.

 Manage ripening loss and moisture loss with proper documentation and reporting.

 Ensure technical handling of fruits, especially banana, mango, and avocado.

 Coordinate daily with Inventory and Transactions teams for stock accuracy and movement.

 Manage excess packing and align indent vs packing requirements.

 Lead and manage the ripening team, allocate tasks, and conduct daily team briefings.

 Analyse customer complaints related to fruit quality and implement corrective actions and

documentation.

 Conduct weekly store visits to understand product quality at store and customer levels.

 Work closely with Buying and Field Sourcing teams for effective DC stock management and

Quality.

Eligibility & Requirements:

 Must have a Degree in Agriculture or Horticulture field.

 Degree in Horticulture will be an added advantage.

 Minimum basic knowledge of fruit ripening and post-harvest handling.

 Two-wheeler is mandatory for travel and operational needs.

 Flexible to work in night shifts as per operational requirements.

 Strong team management, coordination, and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience:

 Experience in fresh produce handling, ripening chamber operations, or supply chain

operations in the fruits and vegetables category.
