Accountant

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP systems
• Prepare and update cash book, bank book, and ledger accounts
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer ledgers
• Record purchase, sales, expense, and journal entries with precision

2. Banking & Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations (BRS)
• Reconcile vendor and customer statements periodically
• Monitor fund flow and update bank transactions accordingly

3. GST & Statutory Compliance

• Assist in the preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
• Maintain proper GST records and ensure accurate input/output tax tracking
• Support compliance activities related to TDS, PF, and ESI (as applicable)

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare MIS reports, including:
• Monthly expense summaries
• Receivables and payables reports
• Vendor ageing analysis
• Maintain proper documentation of bills, vouchers, and statutory registers
• Assist during audits and provide required data to auditors

5. Tally Entries

• Ensure accurate and timely posting of all entries in Tally
• Verify data accuracy and maintain proper accounting records in the system
