Good to Go is looking for Accounts & Finance Executive – Base Kitchen

Reporting To: Finance Manager / COO (functional)


ROLE OBJECTIVE

The Accounts & Finance Executive – Base Kitchen will be responsible for end-to-end financial and inventory control of the Base Kitchen.

The role is critical to ensure daily P&L visibility, inventory accuracy, cost discipline, SOP adherence, and operational support, enabling the Base Kitchen to operate as a profitable, audit-ready, and scalable unit.


This role is not a back-office position. It is a control and execution role closely working with operations.


  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1️⃣ Base Kitchen Accounting & Tally Operations

Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally related to the Base Kitchen

  • Record:
  • Purchases
  • Inventory consumption
  • Dispatch entries
  • Expenses
  • Wastage / dump entries
  • Ensure zero mismatch between physical stock and books


  • 2️⃣ Daily Base Kitchen P&L (Critical Responsibility)
  • Prepare and share daily Base Kitchen Profit & Loss
  • Track:

  • Opening & closing stock
  • Raw material consumption
  • Production output
  • Dispatch value
  • Wastage & loss
  • Highlight cost leakage, abnormal variance, or margin erosion immediately

📌 Daily P&L visibility is non-negotiable.


  • 3️⃣ Inventory Control & Material Receiving
  • Take physical receiving of all raw materials, packaging, and consumables
  • Verify:

  • Quantity vs invoice
  • Quality standards
  • Rate as per approved pricing
  • Ensure proper inward entry before material is used
  • Maintain FIFO / batch discipline

📌 No entry = no usage.


  • 4️⃣ Logistics & Dispatch Coordination
  • Track:
  • Dispatch quantities
  • Delivery challans
  • Outlet-wise movement

  • Coordinate with operations to ensure:


  • Correct loading
  • Timely dispatch
  • Proper documentation
  • Record logistics cost and flag inefficiencies


  • 5️⃣ SOP & Process Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to Base Kitchen SOPs related to:


  • Receiving
  • Storage
  • Dispatch documentation
  • Inventory movement
  • Maintain records in a structured and audit-friendly manner
  • Support hygiene and compliance audits through proper documentation

  • 6️⃣ Support to Central Accounts Team
  • Coordinate with the central finance team for:

  • Monthly closing
  • Reconciliation
  • Audit support
  • Share accurate reports, ledgers, and summaries on time
  • Act as the single source of truth for Base Kitchen numbers


  • 7️⃣ Operational Support (Execution-Oriented)
  • Support day-to-day Base Kitchen operations where required:

  • Data preparation
  • Reporting
  • Follow-ups on variances
  • Work closely with kitchen and ops teams to ensure numbers reflect reality

📌 This role bridges Finance and Operations.

  • KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong working knowledge of Tally (ERP / Prime)
  • Basic understanding of:

  • Inventory management
  • Costing
  • P&L
  • Comfortable with physical verification and ground-level work
  • Good Excel skills (basic to intermediate)
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong discipline and ownership mindset
  • EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION2–4 years of experience in Accounts / Inventory / Operations Finance
  • Experience in:

  • Food industry / retail / manufacturing / base kitchen/warehouse is preferred
  • B.Com / M.Com / relevant accounting qualification preferred

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS (VERY IMPORTANT)

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Accuracy of daily Base Kitchen P&L
  • Zero inventory mismatch
  • Timely reporting without follow-ups
  • Early identification of losses and leakages
  • Clean records ready for audit at all times
