Job Description

The AGM – Marketing is responsible for planning, developing, and executing marketing strategies to strengthen brand presence, increase market share, drive sales growth, and support overall business objectives. The role involves team leadership, strategic planning, and coordination with sales and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Planning

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term marketing strategies aligned with company goals
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare and manage annual marketing budgets and ensure cost-effective execution


Brand & Marketing Communication

  • Strengthen brand positioning across all marketing channels (online & offline)
  • Oversee advertising, promotions, exhibitions, events, and trade marketing activities
  • Manage digital marketing initiatives including website, social media, email campaigns, and performance marketing


Sales Support & Business Development

  • Work closely with the sales team to generate leads and support revenue growth
  • Develop marketing collateral such as brochures, presentations, and product literature
  • Assist in pricing strategies, product launches, and market expansion initiatives


Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and monitor the marketing team to ensure high performance
  • Assign targets, review performance, and conduct training and development activities
  • Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and consultants

Reporting & Analysis

  • Track marketing KPIs, ROI, and campaign effectiveness
  • Prepare regular MIS reports and presentations for senior management
  • Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative marketing approaches
  • Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Leadership and people management capability
  • Sound knowledge of digital and traditional marketing tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Educational Qualifications

  • MBA / PGDM in Marketing or equivalent
  • Additional certifications in Digital Marketing will be an advantage


Experience

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in marketing, preferably in a managerial role
  • Experience in handling teams and large-scale marketing campaigns
