Job Description

Job Summary:The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for managing and driving sales performance within the assigned area. The role involves distributor management, secondary sales execution, team handling, market expansion, and ensuring availability and visibility of FMCG products across retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned area
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives are met
  • Implement sales strategies to increase market share

2.Distributor & Channel Management

  • Appoint, manage, and motivate distributors and stockists
  • Ensure proper billing, payment collection, and credit control
  • Monitor distributor stock levels and secondary sales

3.Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage Sales Executives / Sales Officers
  • Set daily beat plans and monitor field productivity
  • Review performance and provide regular coaching

4.Market Expansion & Execution

  • Expand distribution by adding new outlets
  • Ensure product availability, visibility, and correct pricing
  • Execute trade schemes, promotions, and launches

5.Reporting & Compliance

  • Submit daily field reports, sales reports
  • Share punch-in and punch-out selfies through GPS Map Camera as per company policy
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and market discipline

6.Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and schemes
  • Provide market feedback to management for strategy improvement
  • Key Skills & Competencies:Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Leadership and team-handling ability
  • Knowledge of FMCG distribution and sales operations
  • Ability to work independently in the field
