Job Purpose:

The Bartender is responsible for crafting and serving drinks, interacting with guests, and ensuring excellent bar experience. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of beverages, mixology, and customer service, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The bartender is a key player in creating a welcoming, enjoyable atmosphere, ensuring guests are satisfied with their drinks and the service provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Beverage Preparation & Service:
• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including signature cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits.
• Follow standardized recipes for drinks to ensure consistency and quality in every preparation.
• Interact with guests to take drink orders, offer recommendations, and engage in friendly conversation.
• Guest Interaction & Satisfaction:
• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
• Handle guest complaints or requests related to drinks and service, ensuring quick resolution and guest satisfaction.
• Upsell premium beverages and suggest specials, contributing to increased sales.
• Bar Operations & Inventory:
• Ensure the bar area is well-stocked with all necessary supplies, such as alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar, including countertops, tools, and glassware.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the bar remains well-stocked at all times.
• Sanitation & Safety:
• Follow all safety, health, and hygiene standards in the preparation and service of beverages.
• Ensure the bar area, including the equipment and surfaces, is clean and sanitized according to health and safety regulations.
• Serve alcohol responsibly, checking the identification of guests to verify age and refusing service to guests who are intoxicated.
• Teamwork & Support:
• Assist fellow bartenders, servers, and barbacks to ensure smooth and efficient bar operations.
• Support training for new bartenders, demonstrating drink preparation techniques and best practices for service.
• Work closely with the Bar Executive to ensure the bar runs efficiently and that all tasks are completed promptly.
• Cash Handling & Payment:
• Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and tips.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and tips throughout the shift.
• Balance the cash register and bar receipts at the end of each shift.

Competencies and Requirements:

• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-energy, fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on quality service.
• Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of bartending experience or in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment.
• Knowledge of mixology, including the ability to create a wide variety of cocktails.
• Experience with bar equipment, glassware, and alcohol service regulations.
