Billing Engineer

Role Purpose

• Quantity Surveying & Estimation:
• Extract quantities from drawings (GFC, advance) and site data for earthwork, pavement, structures (culverts, bridges).
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.
• Bill Preparation:
• Create interim (RA), advance, cash, and final bills for clients and subcontractors.
• Generate rate analyses for extra/non-tender items.
• Site Coordination & Measurement:
• Conduct site measurements (JMRs) with site engineers and survey teams for work done.
• Verify executed work quantities against plans.
• Contract & Payment Management:
• Get bills certified by clients and follow up for timely payments.
• Process subcontractor bills and manage back-to-back billing.
• Prepare reconciliation statements for materials, funds, and bills.
• Cost Control & Reporting:
• Monitor actual progress vs. planned progress (S-Curves, Critical Path).
• Analyze cost variations and prepare Variation Orders (VOs).
• Provide reports on material usage and cost overruns.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain all project documentation as per ISO standards.
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions and IS codes. 

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in estimation, costing, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
• Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and ERP/SAP software.
• Strong understanding of road construction specifications and standards
