Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Calling: Initiating a high volume of calls to customers to remind them of pending EMIs, loans, or other overdue payments.
  • Negotiation & Settlement: Discussing repayment options, such as EMI plans or one-time settlements, to facilitate debt recovery while adhering to company policies.
  • Customer Tracing: Tracking down customers who have become unreachable (skiptracing) to re-establish contact regarding their dues.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Adhering strictly to legal regulations, such as RBI guidelines and Debt Recovery Agent (DRA) protocols, to avoid harassment and ensure professional conduct.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate, daily call reports and updating customer interaction history in CRM or database systems.
  • Follow-up: Regularly contacting customers who have promised to pay to ensure they fulfill their commitment. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal communication and "convincing" skills in English and/or regional languages.
  • Negotiation: The ability to handle objections calmly and persuade customers to agree to repayment terms without being forceful.
  • Patience & Resilience: Staying professional and empathetic when dealing with irate or difficult customers.
  • Education: Minimum qualification is typically a 12th Pass certificate, though graduates are often preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer knowledge, specifically in MS Excel and CRM tools, for record-keeping.
  • Certification: Many employers, especially banks, prioritize candidates who are DRA (Debt Recovery Agent) Certified.

  • Salary: Monthly pay typically ranges from ₹12,000 to ₹25,000, often supplemented by performance-based incentives for meeting recovery targets.
  • Growth: Experienced telecallers can progress to roles like Recovery Team Leader, Collection Manager, or Credit Officer.
