Job Description

A business development executive (BDE) is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for a company. They also work to build relationships with clients and increase revenue. 


Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities: Research businesses, industries, and trends to find potential clients and markets 
  • Build relationships: Create and maintain relationships with clients, including key decision makers 
  • Create strategies: Analyze market trends and data to create strategies for growth 
  • Prepare presentations: Create pitches and presentations for potential clients 
  • Manage sales: Set sales goals, manage the sales process, and ensure the sales team meets their goals 
  • Manage risks: Work with senior management to identify and manage risks that could prevent growth 
  • Train and mentor: Train and mentor sales team members 
  • Attend networking events: Attend conferences and other industry events 
  • Manage resources: Allocate and manage resources to support business growth

  • Communication: Good communication skills are essential for BDEs to understand clients' needs and offer solutions
