📌 Job Title:Business Development Manager (BDM) – Third Party Manufacturing (Ayurvedic Products)
📌 Department:Business Development / Contract Manufacturing
📌 Reporting To:Director / Sales Head
🎯 Overall Objective:To develop and manage third-party manufacturing clients, increase revenue through contract manufacturing of Ayurvedic products, ensure smooth coordination between clients and production, and expand market presence.
- ✅ Key Result Areas (KRA)1️⃣ Client Acquisition & Business GrowthIdentify potential third-party manufacturing clients in Ayurvedic & herbal segment
- Generate new leads through calls, visits, exhibitions, and online platforms
- Convert leads into long-term manufacturing contracts
- Achieve monthly and yearly revenue targets
Performance Indicator:
✔ Number of new clients onboarded
✔ Revenue generated
- 2️⃣ Product Development & Order FinalizationUnderstand client product requirements (formulation, packaging, quantity)
- Coordinate with R&D and production team for feasibility
- Finalize costing, MOQ, timelines, and agreements
- Assist in product approval documentation (AYUSH)

- 3️⃣ Relationship ManagementMaintain strong relationship with existing clients
- Ensure repeat orders and customer satisfaction
- Resolve client issues related to quality, timelines, or documentation

- 4️⃣ Market Research & StrategyTrack market trends in Ayurvedic products
- Monitor competitor activities and pricing
- Suggest new product ideas based on market demand

- 5️⃣ Coordination with Internal TeamsWork closely with production, QC, packaging, and dispatch teams
- Ensure timely manufacturing and delivery
- Ensure compliance with GMP and AYUSH guidelines

- 6️⃣ Documentation & ReportingMaintain client database and order records
- Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports
- Track pipeline and forecast business
