Cashier

A Store Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service in a retail environment,

Greets customers warmly, scans items, ensures correct pricing, and processes various forms of payment including cash, debit and credit cards, and digital payments. They issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges according to store policies and apply discounts or promotional offers when required.

Maintaining an accurate cash drawer by counting money at the beginning and end of each shift and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor. In addition to transaction handling, the cashier keeps the checkout area clean and organized, ensures supplies such as shopping bags and receipt paper are stocked, and may assist with restocking shelves or inventory counts. The role requires strong attention to detail, basic math skills, honesty, good communication abilities, and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting.
