Job Description

The Central Monitoring System Executive will be responsible for continuously monitoring and overseeing system alerts, video feeds, or data streams (depending on organisation domain) to ensure timely detection of incidents, abnormalities or compliance issues. This person will ensure high availability, adherence to processes, escalation of issues and coordination with cross‑functional teams to promptly respond to and resolve incidents.


  • Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor in real time the designated system(s) (e.g., CCTV/video feeds, alarm/alert systems, IT infrastructure monitoring dashboards, data‑streams) to detect anomalies, incidents, or breaches.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to monitoring processes, protocols and shift schedules (including rotational shifts, night shifts as necessary).
  • Validate alerts: distinguish between false positives and real incidents, prioritise by severity, and escalate appropriately to supervisors or response teams.
  • Maintain logs and documentation of all alerts, actions taken, follow-ups and closures in the monitoring system/tools.
  • Generate periodic reports (daily/weekly/monthly) on system health, incident metrics, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with teams (IT / operations / security / site teams) to investigate root causes of recurring issues, recommend improvements, and coordinate corrective/preventive actions.
  • Stay alert to evolving risks, ensure the monitoring environment is compliant with regulatory or internal standards.
  • Assist in setting up monitoring dashboards, tools or scripts (depending on the role) and support the continuous improvement of monitoring capabilities.
  • Maintain communication channels with relevant internal and external stakeholders for effective incident response and follow‑up.
  • Participate in shift hand‑overs, ensure no gaps in coverage, and adhere to shift schedules and attendance requirements.
  • Ensure data confidentiality, system security and compliance with organisational policies.
