WE are seeking a talented and passionate chef to join our Indian café team. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing authentic Indian cuisine with a modern twist, maintaining food quality, and delivering excellent customer service. You will be responsible for creating and executing a menu that offers traditional Indian dishes as well as fusion options.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Indian dishes (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian).
2. Create and innovate new dishes while maintaining the authenticity of Indian flavors.
3. Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and that food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
4. Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking ingredients.
5. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
6. Collaborate with café management to develop seasonal menus, daily specials, and catering menus.
7. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and ensure all kitchen operations run smoothly.
8. Monitor food cost and minimize waste without compromising quality.
9. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by preparing meals to the exact specifications.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a chef or cook in an Indian restaurant or café setting.
2. Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and regional cuisine.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders.
4. Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
6. Food safety certification or willingness to obtain it.

Preferred:

1. Knowledge of Indian street food, fusion cuisine, or healthy food alternatives.
2. Experience in managing kitchen staff or running kitchen operations.
