Civil Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Civil Engineer (Billing) responsible for preparation, verification, and submission of project bills, measurement recording, and coordination with site and accounts teams to ensure timely and accurate billing as per contract terms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Billing & Measurement

• Prepare RA bills, final bills, and client invoices as per BOQ and drawings.
• Take joint measurements with client/consultant and maintain Measurement Books (MB).
• Verify subcontractor bills and process them for approval.
• Ensure billing is done as per approved drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.

2. Quantity & Cost Control

• Prepare and verify BOQ quantities and variation statements.
• Track extra items, deviations, and claims.
• Maintain cost records and assist in cost control.

2. Documentation & Records

• Maintain billing files, measurement sheets, abstracts, and supporting documents.
• Prepare reconciliation statements for cement, steel, and other materials.
• Maintain records for audit and client verification.

2. Coordination

• Coordinate with site engineers for daily progress and measurements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and accounts department for bill certification and payments.
• Support project team in contract-related matters.

2. Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with contract clauses and company billing procedures.
• Prepare monthly billing reports and MIS.
• Assist in closing project accounts at completion.

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2–5 years experience in billing & quantity surveying (preferred)

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of BOQ, measurements, RA billing, and final billing
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), and billing software (if any)
• Understanding of IS codes, specifications, and contracts
• Good analytical and documentation skills
• Ability to work under deadlines

Preferred Experience

• Experience in building, infrastructure, road, or industrial projects
• Familiar with client billing, subcontractor billing, and reconciliation
