Job Post: Collection Agent – Credit & Cash Flow Management (Delhi NCR)
Position Overview
M Intergraph Systems Pvt Ltd is on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented Collection Agent with 3 to 5 years of experience. In this key role, you will manage client credit and ensure timely collections to maintain healthy cash flow for our projects and orders. Your efforts will help secure client payments before vendor due dates, thereby supporting positive cash flow and smooth business operations. You will work closely with the Finance team to maintain and update cash flow statements, while also focusing on the continuous follow-up for BG (Bank Guarantee) and EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) returns and refunds.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit and Cash Flow Management:
- Ensure that client collections are received well before the vendor due dates for various projects and orders, supporting robust cash flow.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to maintain accurate cash flow statements.
- Payment Follow-up:
- Conduct timely follow-ups on outstanding payments using emails, letters, phone calls, and in-person visits based on the situation.
- Track and manage the communication process to ensure clarity and accountability.
- BG & EMD Focus:
- Monitor and facilitate the regular return and refund of BG and EMD on an ongoing basis.
- Reporting and Transition:
- Report directly to the existing Credit Controller, who will gradually transition to a full sales role.
- Assist in preparing regular reports pertaining to credit control activities and collection performance.
- Client Engagement & Travel:
- Travel within Delhi NCR using your own conveyance to meet with clients. For outlying locations (for example, customers such as Indian Railways), alternative travel arrangements will be made as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in payment collection and credit control.
- Prior experience with an IT Systems Integrator will be given strong preference.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience in using Tally accounting software is essential.
- Strong command of Excel and analytical tools to produce and manage financial reports effectively.
- Educational Background:
- A graduate degree in Commerce (or a related field) is required.
- Additional Requirements:
- Strong, and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse clients effectively.
- A proactive “go-getter” attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
