Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and persuasive Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team. The role involves contacting borrowers with overdue accounts, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding dues while strictly adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contacting Debtors: Reach out to customers with overdue accounts through calls, emails, or written communication to address payment issues.
• Negotiating Payment Plans: Collaborate with borrowers to establish realistic and mutually agreeable repayment arrangements.
• Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all recovery practices comply with applicable financial laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Account Management: Maintain accurate records, update databases, and track account statuses.
• Problem-Solving: Assess debtor’s financial situations and provide effective recovery solutions.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams and legal departments for escalated cases.
• Reporting: Prepare timely reports on collection activities and progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle challenging conversations with professionalism.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and debt recovery practices.
• Attention to detail and proficiency in record-keeping.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
