Job Description
- Assess patients’ nutritional status, medical history, and lab reports to design personalized diet plans for diabetes and tuberculosis management.
- Develop condition-specific meal plans focusing on blood sugar control, immunity building, weight management, and treatment support.
- Provide dietary counselling to patients and caregivers, explaining food choices, portion control, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting plans based on treatment stage, medication, and clinical response.
- Educate patients about glycemic index, carbohydrate counting, protein requirements, and micronutrient needs relevant to their condition.
- Support TB patients with high-protein, high-calorie nutritional strategies to improve recovery, strength, and treatment adherence.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and counsellors to ensure integrated patient care and treatment compliance.
- Conduct nutrition awareness sessions, workshops, and community education programs on preventive healthcare and disease management.
- Maintain accurate dietary records, progress notes, and patient reports in clinic systems.
