Job Summary-

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Service Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Low-Voltage (LV) and Medium-Voltage (MV) systems up to 33kV. The successful candidate will ensure the safety and reliability of electrical infrastructure across industrial or commercial facilities while strictly adhering to statutory safety standards like NFPA 70E.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Preventive Maintenance

• System Management: Operate and maintain distribution systems, including Transformers, MCC, PCC, and DG sets.
• Equipment Care: Service motors, VFDs, soft starters, UPS systems, battery banks, and ATS.
• Switchgear: Perform routine maintenance on circuit breakers, panels, and busbar systems.
• Lighting: Troubleshoot LED/HID lighting systems and advanced lighting controls.

2. Testing, Inspection & Troubleshooting

• Insulation & Grounding: Conduct resistance testing using 1000V–5000V meggers and verify grounding integrity.
• Diagnostic Testing: Perform circuit breaker trip-time tests, contact resistance tests, and thermographic (thermal camera) inspections.
• Fault Diagnosis: Use multimeters, clamp meters, and power analyzers to repair contactors, relays, and cable faults.
• Power Quality: Monitor phase rotation, voltage balance, and harmonic parameters.

3. Control Systems & Automation

• BMS & HVAC: Maintain electrical interfaces for Building Management Systems and HVAC controls (actuators/valves).
• ELV Systems: Support electrical supplies for Fire Alarms, Access Control, and Security systems.
• Automation: Provide basic troubleshooting for PLCs and complex control circuits.

4. Safety & Compliance

• LOTO: Strictly follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• PPE: Maintain and use appropriate gear, including Arc Flash protection.
• Documentation: Manage electrical permits, hot work permits, and compliance logs.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of 415V 3-phase and 230V single-phase systems.
• Motor Controls: Hands-on experience with DOL, Star-Delta, and VFD starters.
• Blueprints: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and schematics.
• Physical Installations: Knowledge of cable sizing, termination, and tray installations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Technology.
• Licensing: Must possess a Valid Electrical License as per local state regulations.
• Experience: 3–5 years in an industrial plant, data center, or large-scale commercial facility.
• Tool Proficiency: Expert use of Megger, Earth Tester, and Thermal Cameras.

• Physicality: Ability to lift up to 25 kg, work at heights (ladders/platforms), and in confined spaces.
