We are hiring Freight Agent for our logistics company in Delhi with the following requirements :

whatdo you have to do ?

⁃We require Freight Agents to make calls, send emails and bring their business onboard for us to move their loads and target shippers in arranging carriers to pick up and drop off shippers load.

What is Your Job ROLE -?

Your job role is to - Generate leads from the database, one has to call customers ( Companies to approach them by speaking with Company logistics manager/freight manager), and convert them to sales by convincing them to use our logistic / freight broker services for their Business.

⁃ Also you have to acquire new business through prospecting, cold calling, etc.

⁃ Also one has to Negotiate with shipping carriers (TRUCKING ) and negotiate the best rates and services for our customers.

Explanation -

1. A freight( logistic) broker is a middle person between a shipper(any company ) who has goods to transport and a carrier (trucking company) who has capacity to move that freight.

Responsibilities

To Make Sales calls and build new shippers base.
Generating leads and attracting new prospects, and developing a Sales pipeline
Identifying and selecting reputable and safe carriers for freight services
Providing customers with shipping quotes
Booking orders with carriers
Assisting to prepare carriers for loads.
Tracking status of loads
Collaborating with shippers, carriers and dispatchers to manage scheduled collections and drop-offs
Keeping accurate records of relevant activities
Updating customers on the status of shipments, and assisting with other inquiries.
Maintaining current knowledge of market trends in transportation marketplace.
