High Frequency Trade Dealer

Job Summary

The HFT Dealer is responsible for executing high-frequency trading strategies in equity markets using low-latency systems. The role focuses on real-time market monitoring, trade execution, risk management, and coordination with quantitative and technology teams to optimize trading performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute high-frequency and algorithmic trading strategies in equities and equity derivatives
• Monitor live market data, order books, and price movements with minimal latency
• Ensure smooth operation of automated trading systems during market hours
• Manage intraday risk, position limits, and exposure in real time
• Identify market inefficiencies and short-term trading opportunities
• Coordinate with quant developers and tech teams to improve execution speed and strategy performance
• Track slippage, transaction costs, and strategy KPIs
• Ensure compliance with exchange regulations and internal risk policies
• Handle trade reconciliations and resolve execution issues promptly

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in HFT, algorithmic trading, or proprietary trading (equities preferred)
• Strong understanding of market microstructure and order types
• Experience with Indian stock markets (NSE/BSE) or global equity markets

Technical & Skill Requirements

• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Familiarity with trading platforms, OMS, and EMS
• Understanding of latency-sensitive trading environments
• Knowledge of Python, C++, or scripting languages is a plus
• Ability to interpret real-time data and make quick decisions
• Strong risk management and discipline under pressure

Preferred Skills

• Experience with co-location and low-latency infrastructure
• Knowledge of FIX protocol and exchange APIs
• Exposure to quantitative models or statistical arbitrage
• Prior experience in proprietary trading firms or hedge funds
