Installation Engineer

Field Service Technician (Telecommunications) As a Field Service Technician, you are the face of our company and the backbone of our connectivity. You’ll be responsible for bringing high-speed internet into the homes and businesses of our community, ensuring our customers stay connected to what matters most.

Key ResponsibilitiesYour day-to-day will involve a mix of technical troubleshooting and hands-on installation:

• Installation & Activation: Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial internet services, including Fiber, Coax, or DSL systems.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve signal issues, hardware failures, and connectivity drops using advanced testing equipment.
• Wiring & Routing: Perform interior and exterior wiring, including climbing poles, entering crawl spaces, or working on ladders to route cables effectively.
• Customer Education: Configure Wi-Fi routers and mesh systems for customers and provide a brief walkthrough on how to use their equipment and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Maintenance: Perform routine upgrades to the local network infrastructure and document all work orders accurately via our mobile dispatch system.

Core RequirementsTo excel in this role, you’ll need a blend of physical stamina and technical aptitude:

• Technical Savvy: High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in telecommunications, electrical work, or networking is a major plus.
• Physical Ability: Must be comfortable working at heights (ladders up to 28 feet), in confined spaces, and outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Licensing: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory, as you will be operating a company vehicle.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor are essential for providing top-tier customer service.
• Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends or "on-call" shifts for emergency repairs.
