Lab Technician

Position: Lab Assistant

The Lab Assistant will support the laboratory and production teams by conducting routine sample testing, maintaining lab equipment, preparing chemicals, and assisting in small-scale production activities. The role requires accuracy, discipline, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure high-quality results and smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample Testing ,Receive, label, and log incoming samples (raw materials, in-process, and finished products).
• Conduct routine chemical tests as per standard testing methods.
• Perform pH, viscosity, and other relevant analyses.
• Record results accurately and maintain daily test reports.
• Assist in calibration and maintenance of lab instruments.
• Chemical Production Assistance Support the production team in measuring, mixing, and preparing chemicals as per formulations.
• Monitor batch processes
• Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of production equipment and containers.
• Maintain stock of raw chemicals and report shortages.
• Documentation & Reporting Maintain testing logs, batch records, and QA/QC documentation.
• Prepare reports for internal use and quality audits.
• Ensure proper labeling of samples, chemicals, and produced batches.
• Safety & Compliance Follow all laboratory safety protocols, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and waste.
• Report any equipment malfunction or safety hazards to the Lab Incharge.
• Qualifications Minimum: Diploma / B.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 1 years of experience in laboratory or chemical production preferred.
• Basic knowledge of wet chemistry and analytical techniques.

Skills Required

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, report entry).
• Willingness to learn and operate lab/testing equipment.
• Work Environment Laboratory and production-area setting.
• Involves handling chemicals with proper safety measures.
