Job description

Mandate Skills Required: Linux administration (installing, hardening, patching, performance and kernel tuning, logging, managing partitions and filesystems, authentication (including PAM). Distros: RHEL 8,9; free RHEL-derivatives (any of Rocky Linux, Alma Linux, Oracle Linux), Ubuntu; Configuration management: Ansible (writing playbooks, managing inventories, variables etc); Git experience (working with remote repositories, branches, managing conflicts). Gitlab preferred; Understanding of networking (OSI model): IP addressing, subnetting, routing, load-balancing, ports, firewalls, connections. Person need to be able to troubleshoot distributed services, find issues and work with network team on resolving it; Understanding of MySQL databases like how to work at database level, creation, modification of databases. Backup and recovery, replication; Understanding of DNS servers like installation, configuration of bind in Linux (split-horizon DNS using DNS view) and basic understanding of how DNS works - record ty
