Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:Injection Molding Operations Management:Supervise and manage all aspects of the injection molding department.
- Ensure injection molding machines and equipment are operating efficiently, and handle troubleshooting when required.
- Develop and implement procedures for the setup, operation, and maintenance of injection molding equipment.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and quality.
- Team Leadership & Development:Lead and manage a team of injection molding operators, technicians, and support staff.
- Train, mentor, and guide staff on best practices for molding techniques, safety, and machine operation.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to improve employee performance and productivity.
- Foster a positive and safe working environment to improve employee morale and reduce turnover.
- Factory Operations Management:Oversee daily factory operations, ensuring that production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with production planners to ensure that raw materials, tools, and manpower are available as required for production.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall factory productivity.
- Ensure all factory machinery, including injection molding machines, are maintained properly and adhere to preventive maintenance schedules.
- Quality Control:Ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards by implementing strict quality control measures.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to carry out inspections and testing during and after production to maintain high-quality output.
- Address and resolve quality issues promptly and systematically.
- Cost Management:Monitor and manage factory expenses related to injection molding operations and production.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
- Analyze production costs and recommend improvements to optimize resource allocation.
- Health, Safety, and Compliance:Enforce compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards in the injection molding process and the factory.
- Ensure that all employees are properly trained on safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
- Monitor factory conditions and take proactive steps to mitigate any potential safety hazards.
- Inventory Management:Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Ensure efficient use of materials and minimize material wastage.
- Work closely with the procurement department to maintain stock levels and avoid production disruptions.
- Reporting & Documentation:Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, machine uptime, and quality metrics to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including machine maintenance logs, employee performance records, and production reports.
- Implement documentation systems to track molding processes, material usage, and finished product status.
