Pharmacy Staff

Role OverviewThe Pharmacy Assistant will support the Pharmacist in daily operations of the clinic pharmacy, assist in dispensing medications, maintain inventory, ensure accurate record-keeping, and provide excellent service to patients. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of medicines, dosage forms, storage conditions, and basic computer/compliance skills.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in dispensing medicines as per prescription and pharmacist guidance
• Prepare and label medication packages correctly
• Maintain inventory – stock management, expiration tracking, reordering
• Handle billing and cash transactions accurately
• Provide basic information to patients regarding dosage schedules and storage
• Ensure proper storage of medicines as per guidelines
• Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and compliance with health protocols
• Support the Pharmacist with prescription entry and documentation
• Assist with online medicine ordering and vendor coordination
• Maintain records (batch number, expiry, billing, sales)
• Report shortages or discrepancies to the Pharmacist/Manager
• Follow clinic policies, safety regulations, and confidentiality protocols
