Picker / Packer

Job Summary:

Factory Packers and Pickers are responsible for preparing, packaging, and organizing products in a fast-paced industrial or warehouse environment. They ensure accuracy in order fulfillment, maintain inventory integrity, and adhere to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Packing & Preparation:

o   Pack finished goods into boxes, cartons, or containers according to specifications.

o   Label, seal, and weigh packages for shipment.

o   Ensure products are packaged securely to prevent damage during transit.

Picking & Order Fulfillment:

o   Use pick lists or digital devices to locate and select products from shelves.

o   Accurately assemble customer orders for shipment.

o   Verify product quantities and quality before packaging.

Inventory Management:

o   Assist in counting and organizing stock.

o   Report inventory discrepancies or shortages to supervisors.

Quality Control:

o   Inspect products for defects or damage during packing/picking.

o   Follow quality guidelines to maintain high standards.

Safety & Cleanliness:

o   Adhere to workplace safety protocols (e.g., proper lifting, use of equipment).

o   Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Equipment Handling:

o   Operate basic tools and machinery (e.g., tape dispensers, pallet jacks, barcode scanners).

Job Requirements & Skills:

1. Education & Experience:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior experience in packing, picking, or warehouse roles is preferred but not mandatory. Training is often provided.

2. Technical Skills:

• Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
• Ability to use handheld scanners or inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with packaging materials and methods.

3. Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to [e.g., 20-25 kg ].
• Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures (e.g., cold storage, warehouses).
• Physical fit, no tattoos or existing medical condition.
• Age 23 to 35 years
