Plant Operator

manage the movement and recording of steel coils. the factory is 90% automated. your primary responsibility is maintaining the logbook and using cranes to feed the machines.

daily duties:

• entry logging: write down the weight, grade, and heat number of every incoming coil.
• stock placement: organize the yard so coils are easy to locate and move.
• furnace operation: use the eot crane to load coils into the annealing furnace.
• production feeding: move readied coils to the schumag machine and offload finished material.
• stock counting: perform a daily check to ensure the physical stock matches the written records.

requirements:

• basic writing and math skills for record keeping.
• experience operating an eot crane.
• ability to follow a repetitive schedule.

crane operation: the machines do the heavy lifting; no manual carrying required.

automation: 90% of the process is machine-controlled.

routine: the workflow follows a fixed, predictable pattern every day.
