Job Description

A Receptionist cum Office Assistent r is a hybrid role that blends traditional front-office operations with the management of a company’s online presence. This position is ideal for small to medium-sized businesses or startups where the first point of physical contact is also responsible for maintaining the brand's digital reputation.

Core Responsibilities

1. Front Office & Reception 

Visitor Management: Greet and welcome guests professionally as they arrive.

Call Handling: Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing accurate information.

Mail & Deliveries: Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.

Office Security: Maintain security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (e.g., monitoring logbooks, issuing visitor badges).

Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling appointments, filing, photocopying, and maintaining office supplies.

2. Digital Platform Management

Social Media Management: Plan and schedule content calendars for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

Content Creation: Use tools like Canva to create presentations, social media posts, and promotional materials.

Online Engagement: Monitor and respond to inquiries or comments across digital platforms to maintain community engagement.

Website/Platform Updates: Manage basic backend updates for websites or internal digital dashboards.

Digital Lead Generation: Assist in generating leads from social media platforms or digital inquiries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and local languages if applicable).

Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital tools like Zoom or Google Workspace.

Design & Digital Tools: Familiarity with Canva and basic video editing tools is often a requirement for the "Digital" aspect of the role.

Multitasking: Proven ability to manage a busy reception desk while simultaneously handling digital tasks.

Experience: Typically 1–3 years of experience in front office or administrative roles, with a demonstrated interest or background in digital marketing/social media.

Education: A Graduate degree in any stream is usually preferred.
