Job Description
We are looking for an aggressive, target-driven Sales Manager from the Industrial Lubricant marketing field with strong exposure to Metal Working Fluids (MWF). The candidate must have a proven track record of achieving sales targets, building markets across multiple regions, managing and expanding a dealer/distributor network and generating new business from manufacturing clusters.
This role is for a sales hunter who can open new territories, onboard dealers, and win industrial accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1) Sales Growth & Business DevelopmentDrive industrial lubricant sales across assigned regions (multiple states/territories).
Generate leads, convert industrial customers & close recurring business. Deliver monthly/quarterly sales targets with a consistent performance record.
Identify high-potential industries: machining, auto ancillaries, CNC job shops, forging, casting, heavy engineering, etc.
2) Metal Working Fluids (MWF) ExpertiseHandle and grow portfolio including :
soluble cutting oils, semi-synthetic, synthetic, neat cutting oils, tapping fluids, rust preventive oils, metal cleaners, drawing lubricants.
Support customers with selection, application guidance, and troubleshooting for MWF performance.
3) Dealer / Distributor Network DevelopmentManage and grow existing dealer/distributor network for industrial lubricants.
Appoint new dealers in new regions, build channel plans, and ensure billing productivity.
Create dealer targets, monitor secondary sales & execute promotions in the market.
4) Market Expansion & Territory BuildingMap new territories, competitor tracking, pricing intelligence & customer segmentation.
Execute region-wise activity plan: industrial visits, demos, trials and conversions.
Build relationships with plant owners, maintenance heads, production managers, purchase teams.
5) Reporting & CoordinationMaintain sales pipeline, forecasting & weekly activity reports.
Coordinate with technical/support team for trials and customer success.
Ensure collections follow-up and healthy outstanding control.
Candidate Profile
(Must-Have)5–7 years in Industrial Lubricants sales & marketing (mandatory).
Strong hands-on knowledge of Metal Working Fluids and industrial applications.
Proven sales track record (target achievement, territory growth).
Experience handling dealer/distributor network & ability to appoint new dealers.
High energy, aggressive in the market, strong negotiation & closing skills.
Willing to travel extensively across regions.
Good communication, relationship-building & market execution mindset.
Preferred SkillsExposure to industrial clusters (ex: Pune, Aurangabad, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, NCR, Ludhiana, Chennai, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Indore etc.).
Experience in competitor conversion and product trial management.
Knowledge of industrial lubrication categories beyond MWF (hydraulic oils, gear oils, compressor oils, greases, specialty oils).
