Regional Sales Manager -Loans Against Gold-Marketing Branches Operations

 

 

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager – Gold Loans

Department: Retail Lending / Gold Loans

Reporting To: Zonal Sales Head / National Sales Head

 

Job Purpose:

 

To drive gold loan business growth in the assigned region by managing sales teams, developing and executing regional strategies, achieving targets, and ensuring operational compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Sales & Business Development:

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for gold loans.

Identify and develop new markets and customer segments.

Increase branch productivity and loan portfolio in the region.

 

 

Team Management:

 

Lead and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers and field executives.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training/coaching.

 

 

Channel Management:

 

Drive business through multiple channels: branches, DSAs, and digital.

Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.

 

Market Analysis:

 

Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends.

Recommend strategic actions to maintain a competitive edge.

 

Compliance & Risk Management:

 

Ensure adherence to company policies, KYC norms, and audit requirements.

Mitigate risks associated with gold appraisal and loan disbursement.

 

Customer Service:

 

Promote high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Resolve escalated customer issues promptly.

 

Key Skills & Competencies:

 

Proven experience in gold loan or secured lending products.

Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Knowledge of regional market dynamics.

Understanding of gold valuation and lending norms.

Analytical mindset with ability to drive performance.

 

Qualifications:

 

Graduation/Post-Graduation in any discipline (MBA preferred).

8–12 years of relevant experience in sales, especially in gold loan operations.
