Job Summary
3M is seeking an experienced Sales / Business Development Manager to drive market penetration and revenue growth for the Electrical Cable Accessories portfolio in the Construction & Industrial (C&I) segment. The role involves strategic engagement with end users, engineering consultants, EPC contractors, and key industrial accounts to drive product approvals, technology adoption, and sales growth across India.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Drive penetration and market share growth in the Construction & Industrial segment.
Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue quotas.
Develop and execute territory and account growth strategies.
Identify and develop new business opportunities across defined verticals.
Key Account Management
Build and manage relationships with:
End Users
Engineering Consultants
Electrical Contractors
EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) Companies
Develop strategic account plans for key accounts across India.
Increase wallet share within existing accounts.
Product Approval & Technical Engagement
Drive product approvals and specification inclusion with consultants and end users.
Support trials, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
Work closely with Application Engineering and Technical Teams for solution selling.
Pipeline & CRM Management
Manage sales funnel using CRM tools.
Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking.
Ensure timely reporting and pipeline hygiene.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Application Engineering teams.
Support new product launches and technology adoption initiatives.
Operate effectively in a matrix organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
Minimum 10 years of Sales / Business Development experience.
Proven experience in Construction and Industrial market segments.
Experience in CRM systems and pipeline management.
Strong techno-commercial acumen.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
