Job Title: Sales Executive – General Trade (Delhi)

Department: Sales

Reports To: Area Sales Manager / Regional Sales Manager

Location: Delhi


About the Role

We’re seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to manage and expand our general trade (GT) business in the Delhi market. This role is ideal for someone who understands FMCG distribution dynamics, enjoys building retailer relationships, and thrives on achieving sales targets in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Identify, appoint, and manage distributors and retailers across the assigned territory.


Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the general trade channel.


Ensure product availability, visibility, and proper display across all outlets.


Execute trade marketing and promotional activities to boost off-take.


Track and manage distributor inventory, secondary sales, and claims.


Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade partners to ensure smooth operations.


Monitor competitor activities and report market trends to management.


Provide regular MIS reports, market feedback, and performance analysis.


Collaborate with the supply chain and finance teams for timely dispatches and collections.


Desired Profile

Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred).


2–5 years of experience in FMCG/general trade sales, preferably in grocery or food categories.


Deep understanding of the Delhi market and its retail ecosystem.


Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.


Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting tools.


Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable with fieldwork.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Achievement of primary & secondary sales targets.


Outlet coverage and numeric distribution growth.


Trade partner satisfaction and retention.


Execution of visibility and promotional standards.
