Core Accounting Skills

Full-cycle accounting: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger

Month-end, quarter-end & year-end closing

Bank reconciliations and vendor reconciliations

Financial statement preparation (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow)

Budgeting, forecasting & variance analysis

Inventory accounting & costing methodologies

Fixed asset accounting & depreciation schedules

✅ Compliance & Taxation

GST filing, reconciliation & compliance

TDS return filing & knowledge of TCS

Income tax compliance and statutory audit support

Understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS)

Knowledge of corporate compliances and regulatory reporting

✅ Software & Technical Expertise

Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks or similar tools

Excel advanced skills: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS reporting

ERP systems knowledge (SAP, Oracle — preferred)

Digital payment systems & bank portal operations

Data accuracy & documentation management

Expense monitoring & approval workflows

Preparation of management reports (MIS) for leadership

Internal control implementation & risk identification

Audit coordination — internal & statutory
