Senior Architect

Scope of Work – Architect

1. Research & Project Support

• Conduct architectural research, site studies, precedent analysis, and data collection to support project development and design decisions.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and reference material for ongoing and upcoming projects.

2. Concept Design & Design Development

• Assist in the preparation of conceptual architectural designs, massing studies, spatial planning, and design narratives.
• Develop schematic design (SD) and design development (DD) drawings in compliance with State Building Byelaws, NBC, local development regulations, and statutory norms.
• Explore innovative design approaches and experiment with architectural forms, materials, and spatial concepts.

3. 3D Modeling, Visualization & AI-Assisted Design

• Create detailed 3D models, walkthroughs, and high-quality 2D & 3D renders for design presentations and client communication.
• Use industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools for:
• Concept visualization and mood generation
• Presentation drawings and layouts
• Workflow optimization and design iterations
• Graphic enhancement and communication design

4. Presentation & Communication Design

• Prepare industry-standard architectural presentations, design boards, and client-facing documents.
• Develop clear design communication material, including diagrams, zoning studies, exploded views, and storytelling graphics.
• Support senior architects in design reviews, internal presentations, and client meetings. Will also be required to do presentation to clients.

5. Client & Consultant Coordination

• Coordinate with clients to understand design briefs, incorporate feedback, and revise drawings accordingly.
• Assist in coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, landscape, lighting, etc.) to integrate inputs into architectural drawings.
• Maintain organized communication records and design revisions.

6. Technical Documentation

• Assist in the preparation of:
• Sanction drawings
• Tender drawings
• Good-for-construction (GFC) / Working drawings
• Review drawings for accuracy, compliance, and constructability.

7. Costing, Scheduling & Project Assistance

• Assist in the preparation of preliminary cost estimates, BOQs , and material specifications.
• Support project scheduling, tracking deliverables, and documentation management.

8. Site Visits & Execution Support

• Conduct site visits, inspections, and coordination meetings when required.
• Assist in resolving site-related design queries and preparing revisions or as-built drawings.

9. Collaboration & Office Support

• Work seamlessly with senior architects, project managers, and the design team.
• Support the office in administrative and coordination tasks related to projects.

10. Continuous Learning & Industry Awareness

• Stay updated with architectural trends, materials, construction technologies, AI tools, and best practices.
• Actively participate in design exploration, experimentation, and innovation within the office environment.
