Customer Support Field Engineer – IT / Networking / Audio Visual
Location: Vasant Vihar, New Delhi
Working Days: 6 Days a Week
Experience: 2–10 Years (in similar field)
Compensation: Salary Negotiable + Monthly Incentives (Performance Based)
Preference: Candidates with own conveyance
Position Overview
Rivotta India Pvt. Ltd., a 33-year legacy organization in Audio Visual, IT Infrastructure & Office Automation, is looking for a Customer Support Field Engineer with strong hands-on skills in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT, Networking, AV and Office Automation equipment at customer locations.
The role involves both on-site technical support and remote assistance, ensuring smooth operation of installed systems and delivering high-quality customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, configuration & troubleshooting of IT, AV and OA products at customer sites.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and service calls with timely resolution.
- Support configuration of systems on customer networks including IP addressing and connectivity.
- Assist in customer demos, testing, and product orientation.
- Maintain service documentation, installation reports, and inventory records.
- Coordinate with internal teams & OEMs for escalated technical support.
Technical Knowledge / Product Expertise Required
IT / Computer Systems
- Desktop & Laptop installation, OS configuration (Windows / basic Linux)
- Microsoft Office & Office 365 setup
- Computer hardware diagnostics and replacement
Networking
- LAN/WAN setup, router & switch configuration
- Network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP
- Network troubleshooting, cable termination & rack mounting
Audio Visual
- Video Conferencing Systems
- Digital Displays & Commercial Signage
- Interactive Kiosks
- Interactive Flat Panel Displays (IFPDs)
- Active LED Displays – Indoor & Outdoor
- PTZ Cameras setup & integration
Office Automation
- Multifunction Printers, Digital Copiers, Scanners — installation and network configuration
- Knowledge of print drivers, network scanning & user authentication
Security & Attendance Systems
- CCTV installation, recording setup, and network integration
- Biometric / Access Control system configuration
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong troubleshooting & communication skills
- Hands-on approach and willingness to work at customer sites
- Good understanding of IT + Networking + AV + Office Automation
- Must be reliable, disciplined, and customer-service oriented
- Candidates with knowledge in at least some of the above product categories can also apply
- (Training will be provided for the remaining areas)
Preference will be given to candidates having their own conveyance.
Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Computer / IT / Electronics / Networking
- Certifications in networking or AV systems will be an added advantage
