• Roles and Responsibilities of a Site Supervisor

.1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities as per approved drawings and specifications
• Ensure work is executed according to project plans, BOQ, and quality standards
• Monitor work progress and report daily status to the Project Manager / Engineer

2. Workforce Management

• Allocate work to contractors, foremen, and labor teams
• Ensure adequate manpower is available at site
• Maintain discipline and productivity of workers

3. Material Management

• Ensure timely availability of construction materials at site
• Check material quality, quantity, and specifications before use
• Maintain material consumption records and minimize wastage

4. Quality Control

• Ensure construction work meets required quality standards
• Conduct regular inspections and rectify defects
• Coordinate with QA/QC engineers for quality checks and approvals

5. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce site safety rules and ensure use of PPE
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Ensure compliance with statutory and safety regulations

6. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with project engineers, architects, consultants, and vendors
• Liaise between management and site staff
• Attend site meetings and follow up on action points

7. Drawings & Documentation

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Ensure work is carried out as per latest approved drawings
• Maintain site records such as daily progress reports, labor attendance, and checklists

8. Planning & Scheduling

• Support Assist in planning daily and weekly work schedules
• Monitor timelines and report delays or issues
• Support smooth handover of completed works

9. Equipment & Tools Management

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Report breakdowns and arrange repairs when required

10. Handover & Completion

• Assist in inspection and snag-list clearance
• Ensure proper handover of completed work to client or next team
