Job Description

Job Overview: The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the social media strategy to enhance the company’s online presence and drive engagement with prospective study abroad students. This role involves content creation, community management, and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) across social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Strategy:
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness and attract potential students.
  • Create engaging, informative, and creative content (text, images, videos, infographics) that resonates with students interested in studying abroad.
  • Manage content calendars and ensure consistent posting across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure alignment of social media campaigns with overall company goals.
  • Community Management:
  • Engage with the community on social media platforms, answering queries, responding to comments, and fostering discussions.
  • Build relationships with current and potential students, influencers, and educational institutions.
  • Monitor student sentiment, trends, and feedback to ensure the brand maintains a positive image.
  • Campaign Management:
  • Plan and execute targeted social media campaigns to promote specific study abroad programs, events, or deadlines.
  • Work with influencers, student ambassadors, and alumni to create organic, shareable content.
  • Track the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
  • Monitor and report on the performance of social media campaigns using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.).
  • Provide regular updates to the team about the success of social media activities and suggest improvements.
  • Track engagement metrics like clicks, likes, shares, and comments to determine the ROI of social media efforts.
  • Brand Voice & Consistency:
  • Ensure that all content is consistent with the company’s voice, values, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to ensure cohesive branding across all platforms and marketing channels.
  • Trend Monitoring & Innovation:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media, higher education, and student travel.
  • Experiment with new social media features, tools, and techniques to keep the brand at the forefront of student engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience in social media management, preferably in the education or travel industry.
