Store Assistant

Role ObjectiveTo ensure accurate inventory management, proper product traceability, and efficient dispatch operations through systematic recording, barcoding, and adherence to FIFO inventory practices.

• Key Responsibilities1. Inventory ManagementBarcode and tag all incoming inventory before storage.
• Enter all products into the inventory management software with product name, quantity, batch number, and shelf life.
• Ensure all inventory movements (inward and outward) are recorded in the system.
• 2. Batch & Shelf Life TrackingMaintain clear records of batch numbers and expiry/shelf life for every product stored in the warehouse.
• Ensure batch traceability for all goods supplied to customers.
• 3. FIFO ComplianceEnsure FIFO (First In First Out) inventory practice is strictly followed.
• Products closest to expiry must be prioritized for dispatch.
• Notify Operations if any stock is nearing expiry.
• 4. Weekly Inventory ChecksConduct weekly physical inventory checks and reconcile with system records.
• Identify discrepancies and report them immediately to Operations.
• 5. Dispatch ManagementEnsure every order dispatched has:

• Correct batch allocation
• Quantity verification
• Maintain accurate dispatch records for all shipments.
• Coordinate with Logistics and Operations teams for timely deliveries.
• 6. Warehouse OrganizationMaintain organized storage for easy product identification and retrieval.
• Ensure proper placement of goods to prevent damage and mix-ups between batches.

3. Enter details into system including batch number and shelf life.
4. Store products in designated warehouse location.
5. Inventory MonitoringConduct weekly stock checks.
6. Update any inventory corrections in the system.
7. Flag products nearing expiry to Operations.
8. Order DispatchPick stock according to FIFO principle.
9. Verify batch numbers and quantities.
10. Record dispatch in the system before shipment.
11. Hand over shipment to Logistics with proper documentation.
