Job Description

Customer Service and Order Handling

Greeting Guests: Extending a warm welcome to customers entering the restaurant or using the drive-thru.

Order Taking: Accurately taking food and beverage orders, often using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system. This includes counter, drive-thru, and mobile/delivery orders.

Processing Payments: Handling transactions, including cash, credit cards, and other payment methods, and accurately counting change.

Menu Knowledge: Answering customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and promotions, and making suggestive sales (e.g., upselling to a combo).

Issue Resolution: Politely and professionally addressing minor customer complaints and concerns, or escalating them to a manager when necessary.

Food Preparation and Quality

Food Preparation: Preparing and cooking food items according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and preparation procedures.

Beverage Making: Preparing specialty hot and cold beverages (e.g., coffee, shakes, fountain drinks).

Order Assembly: Accurately assembling and packaging food and beverage orders for dine-in, take-out, or delivery.

Quality Control: Ensuring all food meets quality, temperature, and presentation standards before serving.

Cleanliness, Safety, and Operations

Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas, including the kitchen, service counter, dining room, restrooms, and exterior areas.

Washing Dishes: Cleaning and sanitizing utensils, equipment, and cookware.

Stocking and Inventory: Unloading, stocking, and organizing inventory, supplies, and merchandise as needed, following first-in, first-out (FIFO) principles.

Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to all company, local, and national health, safety, and food handling/hygiene regulations.

Opening/Closing: Performing routine opening and closing procedures, such as preparing stations, cleaning equipment, and counting down registers.
