Job Description
Job SummaryWe are looking for a results-driven Telesales Representative to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for reaching out to potential customers to pitch our products/services, handle objections, and close sales. The ideal candidate is a "people person" with a thick skin, a persuasive phone presence, and a drive to exceed targets.
- Key ResponsibilitiesOutbound/Inbound Sales: Initiate cold calls to prospective leads or handle inbound inquiries to convert them into paying customers.
- Lead Qualification: Filter through leads to identify high-potential prospects and prioritize them in the sales funnel.
- Relationship Management: Build rapport quickly with strangers; maintain and update a database of current and potential customers.
- Negotiation & Closing: Present persuasive sales pitches, handle customer objections professionally, and guide the customer through the final purchase process.
- Meeting Targets: Consistently hit or exceed daily call volumes and monthly/quarterly sales quotas.
- CRM Maintenance: Accurately record all conversations, follow-up dates, and sale details in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s offerings to answer technical questions and offer tailored solutions.
- Requirements & SkillsTechnical SkillsCRM Proficiency: Experience using sales tools to track leads and performance.
- Data Entry: High accuracy and speed in documenting customer information.
- Pipeline Management: Ability to manage multiple leads at different stages of the buying journey.
- Soft SkillsPersuasion & Influence: The ability to steer a conversation toward a positive outcome.
- Resilience: A thick skin for handling rejection (common in high-volume calling).
- Active Listening: Understanding a customer’s "pain points" to offer the right product solution.
- Clear Articulation: A professional, friendly, and persuasive telephone manner.
- Experience/EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in Business or Marketing is a plus).
- Proven track record in a sales or customer service role.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Conversion Rate: The percentage of calls that result in a sale.
- Average Handle Time (AHT): Efficiency in moving from greeting to close.
- Sales Quota: Total revenue or units sold per month.
- Call Volume: Average number of outbound calls made per day.
