Role Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our content team. The ideal candidate should have strong editing skills, a good sense of storytelling, and the ability to transform raw footage into high-quality, engaging news videos for digital audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit raw video footage into polished, high-impact news videos
• Add graphics, transitions, subtitles, and effects in line with brand guidelines
• Collaborate with content writers, reporters, and producers to create compelling visual stories
• Work on short-form and long-form video content for social media and the website
• Ensure timely delivery of edits in a fast-paced newsroom environment
• Maintain organized project files and follow established workflows
• Contribute ideas for improving visual storytelling and overall video quality

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.
• Strong understanding of editing techniques, pacing, and visual storytelling
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics (After Effects or similar tools is a plus)
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of current digital trends
• Prior experience in digital media/news editing is an added advantage
