Wait Staff / Service Assistant – College Canteen

Job Summary

We are looking for polite, energetic, and responsible wait staff to manage food service at our college canteen. The role primarily involves serving food from a single service counter in a self-service environment, handling student crowds efficiently, and assisting with basic inventory updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve food to students, faculty, and staff from the designated service counter
• Manage student crowd during peak hours and ensure smooth service flow
• Clearly explain menu items and availability to students
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around the serving area
• Assist the manager by informing about available stock and items running low
• Coordinate with kitchen and counter staff for timely food service
• Follow all food safety and college canteen guidelines

Skills & Requirements

• Basic communication skills (Hindi/English)
• Ability to handle rush hours and student crowds calmly
• Friendly and helpful attitude
• Basic understanding of food service hygiene
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced college environment

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Prior experience in a canteen, cafeteria, or food outlet
• Familiarity with self-service restaurant operations
