Account Assistant

Reports To: Accounts Manager / Senior Accountant

Job PurposeThe Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and supporting all statutory compliances. This role requires attention to detail, analytical ability, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

•    Maintain day-to-day accounting records in Tally ERP.
•    Record and verify all sales, purchase, payment, receipt, and journal entries.
•    Prepare and reconcile bank statements and cash books.
•     Manage accounts payable and receivable; follow up with vendors and clients.
•      Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
•     Support the filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
•     Handle invoicegeneration, debit/credit notes, and expense tracking.
•     Assist with internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation.
•     Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company data.

Qualifications& Experience

•   Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/ Accounting / Finance (B.Com, M.Com).
•    2 years of relevant experience in accounting.
•    Hands-on experience with TallyERP, Zoho and MS Excel.
•     Good understanding of GST,TDS, and basic accounting principles.
•     Experience in manufacturing or packaging industry preferred (not mandatory).
