Accountant – Job DescriptionOverview:

An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the financial health of an organization through reporting, analysis, and compliance with accounting standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, examine, and maintain financial records and statements.
• Record daily financial transactions and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, and vendors.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
• Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Excel).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or in a team.
• Preferred QualificationsProfessional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
• Experience in financial analysis, auditing, or tax preparation.
• Work EnvironmentOffice-based role with regular collaboration with finance teams.
• May require extended hours during financial year-end or audits.
