Accountant/ Accounts Executive

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with strong expertise in understanding, verifying, and managing bills and invoices. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining proper documentation, and supporting smooth accounting operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process bills, invoices, and expense statements with high accuracy
• Ensure all bills comply with company policies, contracts, and statutory requirements
• Maintain proper records of accounts payable and receivable
• Match invoices with purchase orders, delivery notes, and agreements
• Identify discrepancies in bills and coordinate with vendors or internal teams for resolution
• Prepare journal entries, ledger postings, and account reconciliations
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing
• Ensure timely payments to vendors and collections from customers
• Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations
• Maintain organized financial records for easy tracking and reporting

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant or Accounts Executive
• Excellent understanding of bills, invoices, taxation components, and payment terms
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of GST/VAT and other applicable taxes
• Experience handling vendor accounts and reconciliations
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
