Accounting Associate

Role Overview:

In this role you will get a chance to develop the specific knowledge in one subprocess area and will participate in meeting service levels, key measurement targets of the team and deliver a high quality and cost-effective service. You will perform tasks in line with the written procedures under close supervision and will be expected to:

·        Adhere to the IS regulations and policies

·        Demonstrate developing knowledge of the structure of the systems and modules used in service delivery in the specific area, the technologies involved and operational processes & procedures for services delivered to the client

·        Demonstrate a willingness to learn the process specifics within selected process area

·        Analyze day-to-day issues of a practical nature and resolve them

·        Understand that individual performance (efficiency and effectiveness) impacts the performance of the overall engagement

General Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

 You will be responsible only for processing non-complex accounting transactions, generating simple reports and preparing simple reconciliations. The responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

·        Processing of General Ledger Journals, Accruals, Provisions, allocations and other entries according to the schedule and agreed Client Desktop Procedures

·        Processing of fixed asset related entries, based on the requests and according to schedule and agreed Client Desktop Procedures

·        Perform daily bank statement processing and prepare basic bank reconciliations

·        Reconciliation of simple intercompany transactions and agreement of Intercompany balances with counterparties

·        Initiation and monitoring of automated transactions, i.e. FX valuation or depreciation

·        Retrieving and formatting the accounting data from different data sources / systems that will be used as the inputs to other processes

·        Preparation of simple operational reports, not requiring deep analysis and insights

·        Escalate exceptions, discrepancies, or issues to senior team members as per SOPs.

Qualifications (Education/Experience/Certification):

·        Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.

·        Good proficiency in English – both written and verbal.
