All-Rounder Master Tailor / Masterji (Pattern Cutting & Stitching)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced All-Rounder Master Tailor to handle our garment creation process from start to finish. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in pattern making, cutting, and end-to-end stitching with a strong eye for detail and perfect finishing. You will not just be assembling garments; you will be the technical architect behind them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pattern Drafting & Cutting: Take accurate measurements and translate them into precise paper patterns and fabric cuts.

• End-to-End Stitching: Sew garments from scratch, ensuring high-quality construction, clean seams, and proper finishing.

• Prototyping & Sampling: Develop first samples and prototypes based on design requirements or reference images.

• Fitting & Alterations: Conduct trial fittings and make necessary technical adjustments to achieve the perfect fit.

• Fabric Management: Understand different fabric behaviors (drape, shrinkage, weight) to optimize cutting and minimize wastage.

• Quality Control: Inspect final garments to ensure they meet strict quality and sizing standards before delivery.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Master Tailor, Masterji, or Sample Maker in a boutique, export house, or custom tailoring setup.

• Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines (single needle, overlock, etc.) and deep knowledge of garment construction.

• Versatility: Ability to work with a variety of fabrics and styles (please specify here if you are focusing on menswear, womenswear, heavy fabrics like denim, etc.).

• Independence: Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage the complete lifecycle of a garment.
