Analytical Chemist

Job Summary:

The Analytical Chemist will be responsible for analytical testing, quality evaluation, and documentation of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished cosmetic products to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPerform chemical and instrumental analysis of cosmetic products such as shampoos, serums, creams, oils, and lotions
• Conduct raw material testing, in-process checks, and finished product analysis
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments including:
• 
  
• HPLC / UHPLC
• GC / GC-MS
• UV-Visible Spectrophotometer
• FTIR
• pH meter, viscosity meter, moisture analyzer
• Prepare and review Certificates of Analysis (COA)
• Support method development, validation, and stability studies
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, GLP, and documentation practices
• Maintain laboratory records, calibration logs, and test reports
• Coordinate with R&D, Production, and Regulatory teams
• Investigate deviations, OOS results, and suggest corrective actions
• Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of analytical chemistry principles
• Hands-on experience with instrumental analysis
• Knowledge of cosmetic regulatory & quality standards
• Good documentation and data interpretation skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and in a team
